Recording at Castle Oaks
In the middle of February Anders went to Los Angeles to record the drums for the new Code album. The recording session took place in the great Castle Oaks studios, Calabasas and the engineer in charge was Steve Sykes. Steve Sykes is recommended to us by no other than the great Jay Graydon and Jay sure was right. Steve is a true wizard when it comes to recoding and he got great big sound out of Gregg Bissonette's drums in Castle Oaks nice sounding recoding room. Recording went through the Neve 8038 mxing console direct to ProTools HD 3. The kit and room was miked with 16 high class mikes to capture both the direct sound and ambience.

It was a pleasure to see Steve in action capturing a truly fresh, modern and heavy drum sound and the fact that Steve is also a very nice and funny guy made the recoding an ease.
